ASHFORD – IMMEDIATE START 39 hours per week

£16.00 per hour (£32,448 per annum) + weekend & Bank Holiday enhancement

A fantastic opportunity to work as a *Female Support Worker with a 14-year-old girl based in Ashford. The family are looking for Support Workers who are caring, supportive and interactive whilst supporting her within the family home.

The Client

An engaging 14-year-old girl who suffered a traumatic brain injury and as such has severe physical and cognitive impairments. She needs full support with her day-to-day personal care, nutrition, mobility, therapy and psychological needs. She loves being outdoors, going out to cafés and shopping. She enjoys drama, loves animals and thoroughly enjoys her hydrotherapy sessions. Our Client is encouraged to live as full and comfortable a life as possible, so social and recreational activities are vital, together with supporting with her communication and visual responses.

Support Worker Rates

  • Monday to Friday: £16.00 per hour
  • Weekends: £18.00 per hour
  • Bank Holidays: 2 x the weekday hourly rate

Contracted hours:

Shifts will be on a rota basis totalling 39 hours per week

Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 6:30am – 19:30pm (13 hours per shift).

Full time or part time applications considered.

The Role

Working as a Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing support on a 2-to-1 basis during daytime shifts and a 1-to-1 basis during the night shifts, within the family home with the requirement to participate in therapies, reflexology and hydrotherapy sessions with the Client.

A fantastic opportunity to join an established care team as a *Female Sleeping Night Support Worker working with an engaging 14-year-old girl based close to Ashford. The family are looking for Sleeping Night Support Workers to provide additional support to the Waking Night Carers when required overnight.

The Client

Is a 14-year-old girl who suffered a traumatic brain injury and as a result, has severe physical and cognitive impairments. She needs full support in all areas of her day-to-day life including personal care, nutrition, mobility, therapy and psychological needs. Our Client is encouraged to live as full and comfortable a life as possible, and during day time hours enjoys social and recreational activities including visiting cafes, shopping and attending her hydrotherapy sessions. She also loves animals.

Rates of Pay

Monday to Friday: 19:30 – 22:00 and 06:00 – 06:30 £16.00 per hour

Saturday & Sunday: 19:30 – 22:00 and 06:00 – 06:30 £18.00 per hour

Monday to Sunday: 22:00 – 06:00 National Minimum Wage (currently £9.50 per hour)

Hours of Work

Night Shift Hours are 19:30 – 06:30 (11 hours per shift).

The family are looking for Waking Night Support Workers who are caring, supportive and interactive whilst supporting her on a 2-to-1 basis within the family home.

She needs full support with her day-to-day personal care, nutrition, mobility, therapy and psychological needs. She loves being outdoors, going out to café’s/shopping. She enjoys drama, loves animals and thoroughly enjoys her hydro sessions. Our Client is encouraged to live as full and comfortable a life as possible, so social and recreational activities are vital, together with supporting with her communication and visual responses.

Rates of Pay

Monday to Friday – £16.00 per hour

Weekends – £18.00 per hour

Bank Holidays – 2 x the weekday hourly rate

Hours of Work

Shifts will be worked on a rota basis between Monday to Sunday, totalling 22 or 33 hours per week worked over 2 or 3 shifts between the hours of 19:30 – 06:30 (11 hours per shift).

A fantastic opportunity to work as a *Female Bank Support Worker with an engaging 10-year-old boy based Nr Southall. This happy little boy needs his Support Workers to be engaging and interactive whilst supporting him within the family home. It is an essential requirement of this role that you should be fluent in English and Indian Punjabi or Hindi.

Working as a Bank Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing support on a 1-to-1 basis within the family home with the requirement to participate in physiotherapy, sensory and hydrotherapy sessions with the Client.

Bank Support Worker Rates

Monday to Saturday – £15 per hour

Bank Holidays – 1.5 x the weekday hourly rate

The Client

Our client has cerebral palsy (level 5) which affects his mobility and gross motor skills, and he has significant cognitive impairment. He is peg fed and unable to communicate verbally or move independently and therefore requires support in all areas of his life, including personal care.

The role requires the individual to undertake personal care, manual handling and to support with his therapy. Our client enjoys water and hydrotherapy sessions, which help relieve muscle stiffness and pain.

The successful candidate will be supported and offered training from the therapy team, to participate in his rehabilitation programme and to adhere to the protocols in the care plans.

Hobbies & Interests

Our Client is encouraged to live as full and comfortable a life as possible, so social and recreational activities are vital, together with supporting with his communication and visual responses. He likes to go out for walks and particularly enjoys music, sensory play and bubbles. He is an enthusiastic participant in his therapy sessions.
